SUNDAY SCHOOL (BIBLE STUDY): Sundays - 9:00 a.m.
Bible study is a vital part of Christian growth and meeting with others to study the Bible enriches the learning experience. Our Bible Study is designed to meet you where you are in life.
There IS a place for you in Bible Study at First Baptist.

PRESCHOOL DIVISION:
- Preschool 1 - (birth to second birthday, based on individual development)
- Preschool 2, 3, 4, 5 - (by age, with a birthday chart available to help you find your child's class)
CHILDREN'S DIVISION:
- Children 1st - 6th - (by school grade)
YOUTH DIVISION:
- Youth 1 - (7th, 8th and 9th graders)
- Youth 2 - (10th, 11th and 12th graders)
ADULT DIVISION:
- COLLEGE - (those currently enrolled in UMR or another college or university) coed setting.
AGE-GRADED:
- ADULT 2 - (through 29 years) coed setting
- ADULT 3 - (30 - 39 years) coed setting
- ADULT 4 - (40 - 49 years) coed setting, rotating teachers
- ADULT 5 - (50 - 59 years) coed setting
- ADULT 6 - (60 - 69 years) coed class, men's class, women's class
- ADULT 7 - (70 + years) coed setting, rotating teachers
NON-GRADED:
- Discovery - (adults of all ages and topical studies in a coed setting)
- Power for Living - (includes adults of all ages, rotating teachers and topical studies in a coed setting)
- Searchers - (Median adult women in topical studies)
SENIOR ADULT MINISTRIES:
Varied and interesting trips and activities throughout the year provide good activities and identity for our silver-hair saints. Additionally, we provide transportation to and from church activities each Sunday and to special activities.
It's enough to make one look forward to retirement!

PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN MINISTRIES:
Sunday School - 9:00 a.m. Provides Bible study on a child's age level by caring teachers.
- Nursery - Child care for younger preschoolers, from birth to age 4, is available for all scheduled church services.
- Children's Church - for ages 4 through first grade during the morning worship service.
- Mission Friends - Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m., is designed to help children age 3 and 4 to understand and pray for missions.
- Kids Keeping Christ First (KKCF) is designed to help children age 4 through grade 6 enjoy learning Scripture (often with interactive drama), and praying for and becoming involved in mission actions. KKCF begins at 6:30 p.m.
- Summer Vacation Bible School - is held annually for one week to provide boys and girls with concentrated Bible study, projects, and recreation.
- Associational Camp - is provided for grades K-6 and is offered during the summer months for 1 day to a week depending on age.
- Parent's Night Out - From time-to-time during the year First Baptist offers a night out to the parents of Rolla. The children participate in games, crafts, stories, and refreshments. Admission is free and open to all children (Birth - 6th grade) in the community. Pre-registering is requested.
- FBC Child Care Center - We also offer a Child Care Center for preschoolers through grade six. Center hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., Monday-Friday. The Child Care phone number is 364-8965.

COLLEGE MINISTRIES:
- Baptist Student Union - The BSU is a ministry to the University of Missouri-Rolla campus. The goal of the BSU is to lead the UMR community to Christ and to help all grow into committed followers of Christ. The ultimate goal is to equip individuals to be on mission through local churches around the world wherever God leads them to work and live. As a church we are involved in providing refreshments and meals at various times to the BSU, along with other activities as requested.

- Activities - In addition to Sunday College Bible Study, we provide times for fellowships, service and learning for college students. These may include care packages, concerts, conferences, trips. First Baptist supports student ministry through our local Baptist Student Union.
- Friendship Families - Families in the church may "adopt" a college student for the school year through Friendship Families. They share family activities, their faith and their time regularly with a student who is away from home.
- Greek Recognition Day - First Baptist hosts an annual Greek Recognition Day inviting the fraternities and sororities at UMR to an “all-you-can-eat” pancake and sausage breakfast. Afterward, we honor their tremendous public service in a special worship time. Around 150 Greeks find their way to FBC on that recognition day.
- Opportunities to Serve - Students also have opportunities to lead in worship and those who join First Baptist may serve on committees and other areas of leadership and ministry.
DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES:
- Mid-Week Bible Study - Wednesday features an adult Mid-Week Bible Study led by the pastor at 7:00 p.m.
- Leadership Training - for church organization leadership.
- Discipleship Training - Special short-term courses are periodically held to deepen discipleship.
MUSIC MINISTRIES:
First Baptist's Graded Choir Program features:
- Music Makers - (kindergartners) and Children's Choir - (grades 1-6) at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.
- Chancel Choir - (adults) at 7:30pm on Sundays.
- Chancel Bells - We also have a wonderful hand bell choir and smaller hand bell groups.
- Solos and Ensembles - musicians may serve through various solos, duets, instrumental and vocal ensembles.
- Special Performances - include Hanging of the Green and Christmas Vespers, and seasonal musicals.
RECREATION MINISTRIES:
- Community-wide Church Leagues - include the following: Softball, May-Sept.; Basketball, Nov-March ; Volleyball, March & April.
- Church-wide Fellowship - opportunities include ice cream socials, fish fries, dessert fellowships, and our annual Thanksgiving Dinner, etc.
MISSIONS & EVANGELISM MINISTRIES:
Our adults are involved in missions like the Food Pantry we operate in cooperation with other churches in the area to help those in need of food.
- Woman's Missionary Union - (WMU) is designed to enhance missions education and involvement among our women and church. Various Women on Mission groups include women of all ages and provide opportunities at different times of day to let all participate. Our ladies collect and distribute winter coats for the needy through Brenda's Coat Closet.
- Baptist Men enjoy a Prayer Breakfast on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 a.m. The men also plan and present a Wild Game Missions Banquet each January featuring a missionary speaker from the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

- Transportation Ministry- We provide transportation to church for those in our community needing a ride.
- VisiTeams and MinuteMan- Church members reaching out to prospective members and to share the Gospel with the lost.
- Radio and TV Ministry- Our Sunday morning worship services are aired live on KTTR Radio (99.7 fm) or (1490 am) and shown on Rolla TV, Channel 16 each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and also replayed on Thursday nights on Channel 16.
- Tape Ministry- Video tapes of the church services are available upon request in the office.
- Deacon Family Ministry - provides care for our membership.
CRISIS MINISTRIES:
- Hospital Visitation - As needed by pastoral staff, deacons, and Sunday School leaders.
- Counseling and/or Referral - By our pastoral staff as requested for individuals, couples and families.
- Benevolent Help to Church Members - Help for those in the church with acute financial needs generated by crisis.
- Food Pantry - Help for those in need of food.
- Angel Tree - Project Angel Tree is a ministry which helps to make Christmas a little bit better for children whose parent(s) are incarcerated. We let them know that they haven't been forgotten and share with them the love of Jesus Christ. We are able to share the Good News through the children and other family members, Opportunities for ministry include securing, sorting, and wrapping gifts for the children. In addition, individuals are needed to deliver the gifts. This ministry takes place in December. Contact: Rosemary Byrom
- Brenda's Coat Closet - The ministry of providing coats for those in need is named after Brenda Alexander, a member of our Women's Missionary Union who shoed tremendous compassion for those in need. We collect winter coats year round and distribute them as winter draws near. Volunteers are needed to contribute coats, sort and size coats, participate in scheduled coat give-aways, and assist in publicizing the ministry. Contact: Beki Wade
