Pastor: Bob Johnston
Dr. Bob Johnston is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Rolla. Bob has been the pastor since January of 1990. He has served in four churches, and in 2006 celebrated his thirtieth year of ministry.
He received a Bachelor's degree from Union University, focusing on religious studies, Greek New Testament, and Philosophy. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1983, and his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1992. He also spent a year in clinical pastoral education at the Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City.
Bob's wife Holly is the Preschool Coordinator for First Baptist. Bob and Holly have two children. Chad is a resident of Lawrence, Kansas, and is currently working on a PhD. Alyssa is a Kindergarten teacher in Columbus, Ohio.
Questions are a part of everybody's life, but there are no more crucial questions then those which deal with our spiritual lives. Sometimes we ask questions as we try to make sense of some tragedy or heartache. Other times we simply find ourselves scratching our heads as we try to discern God's will.
The most important question any of us can ask is this: How can I have a relationship with Jesus Christ?

Youth Minister: Noble Hower
Noble received his Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from Southwest Baptist University in 2000.
He has served as Youth Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, MO, First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, AR, and Myrtle First Baptist Church in Myrtle, MO. Noble also traveled for four years and recorded two full length albums as a musician in the Christian rock band, "The Pedestrians."
Noble continues to balance music and ministry while working full time as a youth minister. His overall goal in Ministry is to spread the wonderful news that Jesus came to show the love of God and offer full forgiveness for anyone that believes in Him. It doesn't matter who you are, God's DESIRE is for you to DESIRE Him, and this is made possible through the sacrifice that Jesus made by willingly dying on the cross for your sins.

Music Director:
Children's Ministry Director: Joyce Windmiller
Joyce Windmiller has served as Children’s Ministry Director since May 2007. She has served as volunteer and member at First Baptist since 1997.
Joyce earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Fisheries & Wildlife Management in 1984. She worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for three years before starting her family in 1987. She then began working for the Kroger Company in store management and produce merchandising. In 1997, she moved to Rolla where she volunteered and substitute taught in the elementary schools in the Rolla Public School system. In 1999, she became certified as a parent educator for the Parents As Teachers organization through the Rolla Public Schools. She was a Parent Educator for eight years before starting at First Baptist as Children’s Ministry Director.
Joyce has been married to her husband, Mark, for 23 years and they have two children. Lee is a senior at Rolla High School and Katie is a sophomore at East Central Community College. Katie will be getting married in the fall of 2008.
Joyce has been working with children and their families for many years in the community, whether it was in the public schools or here at First Baptist. Reaching out and showing children and their families that learning about Jesus can be fun, exciting, and have an eternal impact on their lives is what sharing the love of Jesus is all about.
